2008 Pit-Stop

Food from a Farm, Not a Factory

Food transport is responsible for 25% of HGV journeys on our congested roads. Ingredients used in the food processing industry travel around the country from factory to factory before reaching the shops. The George & Dragon tries at all times to buy food that is seasonal, local, organic, GM Free & Free Range. No farmed fish or intensive production is used. www.speldhurst.com

The People's Eco-Rally 2008

At the height of the fuel protests and the heated debate about food vs fuel, Revolve set British motorists a challenge: Drive from Brighton to London in the greenest way you can. The destination was a music festival on Clapham Common, where the drivers were tested for eco-driving skills whilst their cars were tested for emissions. The winners each received a Navman Satnav and shared their green-driving knowledge with the assembled crowd. | More videos
