The 2012 Eco-Rally will start in the new electric car capital of Europe against the backdrop of classic Gothic architecture. Expect to see a range of vehicles and sustainable travel options, ranging from affordable to quirky to downright sexy.

The mobile motor-show sees the launch of several new models including electric cars and motorcycles capable of traveling over 100 miles on a single charge... plus range-extended hybrids capable of much more. Many will be driven by familiar faces to Ace Cafe London and then Waterloo Place, central London, proving that low/ zero emission travel between cities is possible now.

Broad Street is a popular tourist destination in the centre of Oxford; filled with famous Oxford University buildings including the Sheldonian Theatre, Trinity College and the Museum of the History of Science. The Oxford Information Centre and Oxfam’s very first charity shop are also located in this busy boulevard. The county of Oxfordshire has the highest concentration of households owning two or more cars.

Getting There

Spectators please note: Broad Street will be closed to cars during the event and the Pay & Display bays will be used for the display.

Electric Hybrid Double-Decker Bus

Bus, coach, train and tram services are greener than going by car… and can save you money.  The nearest bust stops are on Magdalen street and Park & Ride schemes are dotted around the city.
