The 2012 Oxford to London Eco-Rally will act as the UK debut of the entirely revamped Zero DS. Zero Motorcycles are confident that the new 2012 Zero DS will strengthen its reputation as the world’s most versatile electric motorcycle. DS stands for ‘Dual Sport’ - designed to be agile in the dirt and quick on the street. The sleek and contemporary new styling is visually distinct from its predecessors. The new powertrain includes a brushless motor capable of 80 mph, new state of the art battery cell technology (over 100 mile range), regenerative braking and a power pack that is designed to last the life of the motorcycle. It is the first mass production electric motorcycle to ever achieve over 100 miles range (EPA UDDS).

In late 2010, the Mayor of Barcelona announced his vision for the city centre to become CO₂ and emissions free within four years. A joint project was formed under Cluster Moto with support from the Catalan administration and in collaboration with Barca University. The result is the MIUS electric scooter by Rieju - an alternative for individual lightweight transport. The Rieju MIUS (pronounced 'my us') is one of the most efficient, functional and green urban scooters available for personal or fleet use.

ITM Power’s Transportable Hydrogen Refuelling Station (HFuel) is a self-contained module suitable for refuelling hydrogen-powered road vehicles and forklift trucks. HFuel is well suited to small fleet and early ‘hydrogen highway’ applications of both fuel cell and hydrogen engine vehicles (FCV and HICEV). It is based around a modular platform (standard freight containers) and can be expanded at any point after the initial installation enabling a staged roll-out of hydrogen fuel.

The fuel-free Ford Focus has a target range of 100 miles, can be charged in just three to four hours when connected to an appropriate charging facility and is powered by a 23kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It will be on sale in the UK in 2013. The Focus Electric features 'SYNC' - Ford's advanced voice control, device integration and connectivity interface - to enhance the enjoyment of driving an electric vehicle in the most efficient way.

The Vectrix electric maxi-class scooter is The AA's choice for providing motorcycle assistance in London. Capable of over 60 mph (97 km/h), with maximum torque available immediately - a much-loved characteristic of electric motors. It has 90% less moving parts than a petrol scooter, making it an extremely reliable support vehicle.

What Car?'s judges praised the S40 DRIVe's unique combination of low emissions (104g/km CO2), fuel efficiency (72.4 mpg combined), practicality, safety and driver enjoyment.
