Charge Point was the saviour of several EVs at the Eco-Rally finish line, providing a much-needed re-charge for their journey home. The stylish CP 200 electric vehicle recharging unit has a stainless steel outer body, intuitive LED display and auto-opening glass connector housing. Available as single and dual connector bollard and post mounted units with single and three phase options both within a single unit using different connector options. All units are GPRS enabled with Zigbee wireless, available as mode 3 and offer multiple access platforms, energy metering options (including MID certified meters) and can specified with PV solar panels.

Fresh from the Geneva Motor Show, the Indica Vista EV offers the real practicality of a small family hatchback, with the benefits of a highly efficient all electric drivetrain. 25 of these vehicles have been built in the UK and are taking part in the CABLED demonstration programme, commencing June 2010. When it hits the showrooms, the Tata Vista EV will be an incredibly affordable and capable electric car with all the features you expect from a small family hatchback.

This will be the first public demonstration of EVO Electric’s DuoDrive hybrid system, an original powertrain solution that gives improved driving performance and fuel economy for a range of commercial vehicle applications including taxis and delivery vans. The technology will help London and other cities meet their carbon reduction goals, while also providing commercial vehicle manufacturers and operators with a cost-effective means of meeting upcoming emission regulations.

Barclays Cycle Hire will be a public bicycle sharing scheme for short journeys in and around central London. You'll be able to pick up a bicycle, use it as you like, then drop it off, ready for the next person - reducing the growing gap between public transport capacity and demand. Eco-Rally visitors can test ride the prototype bike, prior to launch on 30 July 2010.

ITM Power's specially adapted Ford Focus is an example of how conventioanl engines can be fuelled on 'Green Hydrogen'. This can be produced anywhere using only water and renewable electricity using ITM’s world-beating electrolyser technology. For this year's Eco-Rally, guest drivers include a BBC Click journalist and Quentin Willson.

At a time when the automotive industry is being forced to look at a low-carbon future, this vehicle demonstrates the enormous potential of energy-efficient electric vehicle technologies. In 2009 Cambridge University's World Solar Challenge car travelled over a 1,000 miles across Australia, on energy from the sun. Cambridge University Eco Racing (CUER) is a student-run team based at the university's Engineering Dept.

Brigade will demonstrate an electric car fitted with a broadband sounder to show how a sound can alert of danger without causing a noise nuisance. The company are calling for sounders to be fitted to prevent fatalities.

Imperial College are hoping their electric racing bike will be ready to actually join the Brighton to London convoy. The 100mph racing bike is based on the legendary Suzuki Hayabusa and built to race in the British round of TTXGP, the first ever zero emissions motorbike Grand Prix series. Fresh from competing, spectators can see the bike and meet the engineers who built it, at the Eco-Rally exhibition on 7th July.

Ferrari used the Geneva Motor Show to unveil a hybrid future that it says will not only make its sports cars more efficient, but also aid their handling and performance.

Pulling the wraps off a lime green version of the 599, fitted with the Prancing Horse's new hybrid powertrain, CEO Luca di Montezemolo joked that you "don't normally see a green Ferrari" on the firm's Geneva stand but that this marked a "new direction."
