The new powertrain includes a brushless motor capable of 80 mph, new state of the art battery cell technology (over 100 mile range), regenerative braking and a power pack that is designed to last the life of the motorcycle. It is the first mass production electric motorcycle to ever achieve over 100 miles range (EPA UDDS).

After impressing Eddie Irvine and then beating the Tesla sports cars (by hopping on a train) in the 2010 Eco-Rally, the plucky little scooter is back for the 2012 Eco-Rally! The Maximilian II weighs only 43kg and employs a lead-gel battery to store 505Watt-hours of energy. This gives the scooter enough kick to climb a twelve-degree incline and rocket off the line with acceleration and range comparable to a similar gas scooter.
The Oxford to London Eco-Rally will act as the UK debut of the entirely revamped 2012 Zero S. It is the first mass production electric motorcycle ever to achieve over 100 miles range on the EPA UDDS. This high performance electric bike (125cc equivalent) has evolved to aggressively take on urban environments and back-country ‘twisties’, delivering instant torque and power from a standstill and smooth acceleration as you throttle out of turns. Zero Motorcycles’ all-new Z-ForceTM power pack and powertrain have been beefed up and now offer regenerative capability. The new Zero S, looks slicker and goes faster and further than ever before.
