ITM's electrolyser and fuel cell technologies have the potential to become the cornerstones of a future hydrogen economy based on 'green' hydrogen. Their hydrogen systems are able to convert renewable energy to a clean fuel, that can be indefinitely stored for use in transport, residential and industrial applications.

The automotive industry adds £9.5bn to the UK economy and employs around 380,000 people. British workers design, engineer and build cars that are sold globally. It is clear that there is an environmental and an economic imperative to to change.
In the short term we need improvements to existing technologies: efficiency, light materials and drag reduction.
Longer-term we need the new, cleaner technology that is still evolving.
