Camden Council were one of the first boroughs to incorporate electric vehicles into their fleet. They use their bespoke Modec exhibition van to create awareness about air quality and the cost-benefits of zero emission transport. It is also used to tow their 5kW zero emission fuel cell generator, which will be used to power the Eco-Rally display in Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park.

Revolve Technologies Ltd (no relation to the Revolve Eco-Rally) will be joining the Mini Eco-Rally convoy to Copenhagen on Tuesday 8th December for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15).

Transport Secretary Andrew Adonis today announced the four companies who will begin supplying low carbon and all-electric vans to selected public sector organisations later this year.

The Modec electric van was launched in March 2007 and put to the test in the first Revolve Eco-Rally. When Revolve invited guest driver Robert Llewellyn, he specifically asked to drive the van, knowing the significant positive impact this van could have in urban environments. As the official support vehicle, the van had to carry all the equipment from Brighton to London and keep with the convoy on the motorways.
