Eddie Irvine, ex F1 racing driver

Eddie Irvine is a former Formula One driver and Virgin Media columnist from Northern Ireland. He raced for Jordan, Ferrari and Jaguar between 1993 and 2002 and was runner-up to Mika Hakkinen in the championship. Eddie is looking forward to inspecting the green motorsport display at the Royal Albert Memorial.

Fellow Irishman, Eddie Jordan gave Irvine his big break in Formula One and he scored an unforgettable point on his debut race when, in the closing phase of the race, he un-lapped himself from race leader Ayrton Senna, much to Senna's annoyance, cementing Irvine's reputation as a no-nonsense, hard charging driver with a work hard, play hard attitude to life.

With Eddie's unique experience in Formula 1 motorsport, Eddie Irvine Sports is one of the best indoor karting venues in Ireland, providing a launchpad to other forms of motorsport. EISports have converted their karts to LPG fuel which has benefits for both the environment and their customers, and yet will still take you round our circuits at speeds over 40mph.

I understand how important it is to combat our CO2 emissions and climate change. Having F1 names on board this year proves that sustainable motoring really has hit the mainstream.
