Ginetta G50 EV - fast charging electric sports car

Ginetta plan to sell the G50 EV in the near future. The electric sports car is capable of 120 mph and has a range of between 150 miles (track day racing) and up to 250 miles on a full charge. It’s three batteries and motor deliver power directly to the rear wheels maintaining the ‘fun factor’ of the petrol-powered equivalent.
Three sodium nickel-chloride batteries - chosen for their reliability - replace the fuel tank and are encased in steel and surrounded by a vacuum for extra safety. It can be fully charged from flat in just six hours, by plugging each of the three batteries into their own standard household plug socket (13 Amp).
The drivetrain installed in the G50 electric vehicle utilises state of the art brushless DC motor technology that is designed and manufactured in house by Zytek Engineering. The award winning innovative drivetrain design integrates the electric motor, power and control electronics, into one compact assembly with only three connections: water, High voltage (300V) and low voltage (12v).
I'm very excited to see the G50EV in the Bridgestone Eco-Rally. The G50EV has received huge acclaim since its launch and this will be its third historic outing in the last 12 months - it was the first car to be driven through the channel tunnel and took pride of place in front of a crowd of 150,000 at the legendary Parade des Pilotes at Le Mans
