
Oxford Alumni Olympic reception: the ethics of prosthetics

Oxford University Alumni are invited to London for an alumni reception which will include a panel discussion on 'the ethics of prosthetics' in the modern paralympic games. The panel will comprise expert speakers who will explore the distinctions made between the Olympics and Paralympics, together with their participants, and will address the recent controversies surrounding athletes like Oscar Pistorius, the South African 'blade runner' who has qualified for the 400m sprint at the 2012 Olympics.
