The 2011 Bridgestone Eco-Rally will start in Broad Street against the backdrop of classic Gothic architecture. Broad Street is a popular tourist destination in the centre of Oxford and is filled with famous Oxford University buildings including the Sheldonian Theatre, Exeter College and the Museum of the History of Science.

Insp Paul Winks said: “Obviously in adverse weather conditions, we would advise people not to drive unless absolutely necessary, but acknowledge that people will need to travel and want them to be as prepared as possible before they set off.
