About the Organisation
The 2011 Bridgestone Eco-Rally will be partially carbon-offset by Fone Twigs and OxTreeGen who are working towards creating new woodlands on sites throughout the UK.
On event day, spectators can bring their old mobile phones to collection bins in Broad Street, Oxford and The Mall in London. OxTreeGen will double your carbon offset by not only recycling your mobile phone but using the funds generated from this process to plant a tree on your behalf. Just one tree will offset almost one tonne of carbon during its lifetime.
OxTreeGen’s mission is to plant trees within the UK to assist companies and individuals to reduce and offset their carbon footprint and raise the issue of climate change.
These bio-diverse habitats will develop into mature woodlands helping to reduce Co2 and provide protected woodlands for future generations to come.
All OxTreeGen’s trees are planted local to you within the UK. Each tree is allocated a unique plot number and a beautiful certificate is issued detailing your tree details. OxTreeGen also support two great charities, Help for Heroes and Against Breast Cancer donating £2.13 from each pack sold.

What makes OxTreeGen different from the rest?
OxTreeGen plant, manage and protect all the trees in our projects. This allows us to have full control over all projects and for the trees to have the maximum rate of survival to benefit us for generations to come. All our sites are carefully selected and are not suitable for arable or livestock production, thus maintaining the area of land available to provide food for us in the future. Our tree planting sites often add other benefits to the local environment, such as the reduction in soil erosion, replacing fallen or damaged trees and enhancing the local natural bio-diversity.
