About the People
The son of Status Quo's guitarist and vocalist, Rick Parfitt Jnr has accomplished rock star status in his own right. The RPJ Rock Band features talented musicians with a diverse touring and recording history, having worked with artists ranging from Robbie Williams to Girls Aloud and James Morrison.
Most kids at school had accountants for dads. Mine was the archetypal rock 'n roller. There were all these bloody cars he'd buy, then smash up. He lived it to the full. Mum and Dad had matching Porsches, I had a mini Range Rover and Dad had a real one. We'd race each other and tear the lawn to shreds. They were good days.
Rick's second love after music is sport, particularly motor racing, with an extensive karting career and championship wins including the Le Mans and Dubai 24 hour races.
