The fully-electric Mia U (urban transporter) van is short and nimble on the outside but incredibly spacious inside with 1,500 litres cargo volume and 350 kg payload. The central driving position and sliding doors facilitate getting in and out of ether side easily, especially in tight parking spots. Like the family mia L, it is 3.19 m long and its tight turning circle gives it a clear edge in those narrow city streets. Mia is also developing a range-extended version using a fuel cell to increase range by around 100 miles.

A panel of 30 international experts also selected the Renault Twizy from the 4,515 applications submitted in this category as winner of the “Best of the Best product design 2012” prize.
