For the UK launch, the cheeky scooter rider did a hybrid journey with a difference: scoot-train-scoot from Brighton to Victoria station. He then hopped back on the top-of-the-range Maxx scooter and rode over the bridge to the stunning new hotel on London's South Bank">Westminster Bridge Park Plaza Hotel, finishing his lunch before the Eco-Rally car convoy had even arrived. A second scooter, the Minii joined the mods v rockers electric bike ride from the legendary Ace Cafe in North London.
Imperial College are hoping their electric racing bike will be ready to actually join the Brighton to London convoy. The 100mph racing bike is based on the legendary Suzuki Hayabusa and built to race in the British round of TTXGP, the first ever zero emissions motorbike Grand Prix series. Fresh from competing, spectators can see the bike and meet the engineers who built it, at the Eco-Rally exhibition on 7th July.
