Biomethane
What if GHG emissions could be recycled. What if our organic waste could be turned into fuel rather than going to landfill. This is the promise of biomethane and 2nd-generation biofuels.
Leading geophysicists predict that peak-oil is either currently occuring, or will have occured by 2015. Meanwhile, demand for oil continues to increase at an extraordinairy rate, with increasingly negative social and ecological consequences. Are you ready to switch?
This heavy-duty diesel lorry utilises Clean Air Power’s Dual-Fuel technology to deliver significant greenhouse gas emission reductions and fuel cost savings compared with standard diesel engines. These Dual-Fuel trucks are around 30% more energy efficient than equivalent spark ignited natural gas engines.
The Bio-Bug runs on methane gas generated during the sewage treatment process. Waste flushed down the toilets of just 70 homes in Bristol is enough to power the Bio-Bug for a year, based on an annual mileage of 10,000 miles.
GENeco provides a recycling service for the production of renewable energy. Their technology can generate power from your waste, diverting it from landfill, through a process that benefits the environment and potentially reduces your business or organisation’s operating costs. GENeco also produce a nutrient-rich fertiliser which has been used by the farming community for many years.

For six months, a street cleansing truck in Camden was actually powered by a fuel derived from landfill waste. Or, as Mayor Boris Johnson put it, "it runs on rhubarb!" Liquid biomethane (LBM) is considered to be a carbon neutral alternative to fossil fuels.
Organic Power's biomethane-fuelled Mercedes vans are quieter, less smelly and less polluting than conventional diesel or petrol vans. Organic Power is working with Mercedes-Benz to supply biomethane-powered EcoSprinter vans utilising Mercedes Natural Gas Technology.
The DeLorean Motor Company may have only been around for two years in the early eighties, but the DMC-12 achieved cult status when it was chosen to be time-machine by the makers of the Back to the Future Trilogy. They especially liked the futuristic gull-wing doors and stainless steel bodywork. Twenty years on, several companies have sprung up to serve the cult following, selling all the props you need to convert your DeLorean into the BTTF Car - incl. the BTTF1 Fuel Cell, Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor and even a Flux Capacitor!.
