The Energy Saving Trust (EST) provides a range of resources to help your organisation reduce carbon dioxide emissions. EST is working with partners to deliver the Plugged in Fleets Initiative. 20 organisations across the country will receive tailored strategic plans on how they can incorporate EVs into their fleets.

The 2011 Bridgestone Eco-Rally will be partially carbon-offset by Fone Twigs and OxTreeGen who are working towards creating new woodlands on sites throughout the UK.

Hated by deep green environmentalists and described by some as a 'rich chavs MPV', the nearly 3-tonne, 3-litre V6 'sporty SUV' is Range Rover's biggest selling car worldwide and loved for it's imperious driving position and intelligent, weight-defying suspension. So you may be wondering how it qualifies to be in the Eco-Rally. This particular model is a hire car from Oxford-based Dreamcarhire.com and like all their cars, it is locally carbon-offset, making it not such a guilty pleasure after all. In addition OxtreeGen will be using it to collect unwanted mobile phones at every location which will be recycled to help carbon-offset the entire Bridgestone Eco-Rally event.
