Tracey Smith is a writer and broadcaster on sustainable living and author of The Book of Rubbish Ideas. She also put together a 'Slow Living' awareness campaign called InterNational Downshifting Week. Her passion for simple green living is immeasurable and she never takes the doom and gloom approach.

Not content with penning columns and articles for everyone from The Ecologist to The Environment Agency on ways to slow down and green up, she broadcasts a weekly radio programme on www.AppleAM.com and will present 'The Great Downshift' TV series in 2011.

Re-use collapsible water bottles

Pop a re-usable water bottle in your bag/car and simply re-fill as necessary. Some are made from recycled plastic or collapsible to save space.
