A major element of the ClearTec system is the ‘Auto Stop & Go’ technology. The system automatically stops and restarts the engine when the vehicle is stationary – such as at traffic lights or in a traffic jam.
ClearTec also uses other technologies such as:
Low rolling-resistance tyres
Improved differential on the final fear ratio (higher speed for the same rpm)
High efficiency alternator – recharges the battery whilst braking and accelerating
