The unique Oaktec developed Honda Civic Hybrid CVT rally car is to make its first journey to the South Coast when it takes on the 2010 Brighton to London Eco-Rally. The car which is more used to hammering through remote Scottish rally special stages will take on the more gentle task of this demonstration ride into the Capital, driven by Lisa Rogers.

The Oaktec Civic Hybrid is a full FIA spec stage rally car built to Group N 1400cc regulations. It is in tarmac trim and has a 1339 cc petrol engine with a modified Honda IMA Hybrid electric system optimised for maximum energy regeneration.The car is also unique in its use of a CVT automatic transmission that allows the driver to keep maximum power at all times and giving great drive efficiency.
